Chapter 13 Rhetorical Functions
There were ten questions on the questionnaire about different types of
rhetorical functions (there may be a better name for the “functions” reflected
in some of these questions) that students need to perform at SGU. Most of these
were identified in course-outcome documents and outcomes stated at the beginning
of lectures (e.g., the couple first slides of a slide deck). The following
figures show a breakdown of students’ responses to the prompt below. Students
