Many videos and presentations for Magic Planet have centered around earth science or topics related to it, but Magic Planet can be used for a wide range of presentations:

• Historical applications: displaying maps of historical country borders, exploration routes, trade routes
• Geographical applications: displaying countries and continents, geographical systems
• Anthropological applications: displaying the movement of people
• Astronomical applications: Studying other planets and their environments
• Biological applications: Studying how the eyes work, components of a cell, migration patterns of animals
• Mathematical applications: Studying 2D planes, cross sections, spheres (circumference, etc)
