Magnetic Resonance Imaging (i.e., MRI) is a technique that is (generally) used in medical settings to produce high quality images of soft tissues.

It is based on Nuclear Magnetic Resonance (i.e., NMR) principles - a spectroscopic technique that is used to obtain chemical and physical information about molecules.
